wd my passport is not recognized by windows 7

As in windows I can't see its mounted to can't even run chkdsk over it. My guess is, it should be related to partition corruption but not sure. For most of the other folder i got I/O error. Sometime the USB cable cannot work with every computer, thus make sure to try a new one to see if it works.

I am not sure how it got corrupted but now its not working on windows as well as mac system. WD external hard drive not recognized Windows 10. In last few months I also used this harddisk on my MAC laptop (Mac it shows only readonly mode as partition is NTFS). It was working fine from last 2 years on my windows system. I have WD My Passport 1TB external harddisk.
